Please take note of the restaurant/bar schedule for this weekend:
  • Thursday, March 15: Tower Pub will be open from 4 p.m.- Close. Bar menu only.
  • Friday, March 16: Tower Pub opens at 11 a.m. Bar menu only for lunch. Dinner from 5 – 10 p.m. in the Main Dining Room & Spinnaker.
  • Saturday, March 17: Tower Pub opens at 11 a.m. Bar menu only for lunch. Dinner from 5 – 10 p.m. in the Spinnaker only.
  • Sunday, March 18: Brunch & Dinner will be in the Binnacle.

Prospective Member Reception on Friday, March 23
GPYC members are encouraged to bring prospective members to a casual gathering on Friday, March 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Prospective members will learn more about membership at the GPYC and enjoy complimentary beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres. Please call Susan Hughes to RSVP at (313) 640-3188.

Now is the perfect time to refer a candidate for membership
GPYC members who refer a candidate that is approved for an Active (boating) or Social membership will receive $1,000 in GPYC Gift Cards! $500 upon membership approval and then $500 the following year.

Kickstart your Club experience from now until June 30, 2018.
  • Candidates approved for Active (boating) and Social memberships join for half the initiation fee. 50% of the initiation fee is due on July 1, 2018, with the remaining 50% due on July 1, 2019.
  • Candidates approved for the Active (boating) membership will receive 50% off boat well fees for two consecutive years.
  • Also, Social Members may "Fleet Up" for no fee and enjoy 50% off boat well fees for two consecutive years.

GPYC Philanthropy Program UpdateGPYC Philanthropy Program Update
The GPYC Philanthropy Program encompasses all of the Club's fundraising to the Foundation (Clubhouse renovations) and Centennial Fund (renovations on Club grounds). These donations support the Bowling Recreation Center, Marine Activity Center, Family Activity Center and Harbor Renovations. Just under $2 million has been raised thus far for the Philanthropy Program.

As of today, donors have given $351,000 of the $395,000 goal for Bowling Recreation Center renovations.

Trap ShootingTrap Shooting
Saturdays & Sundays, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
at the Marine Activity Center (MAC)

Trap Shooting will be available this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Marine Activity Center (MAC). $15 per round of 25 shots. Snacks, beer, wine and soda will be available in the heated MAC.
Please note: Trap Shooting will continue through the Club's shutdown.
Kid's KlubKids' Klub

Parents have an opportunity to enjoy a quiet, relaxing evening at the Club. Children must be at least three years old and potty-trained. The cost is $15 for the first child and $10 for each additional child in the same family.

Fire Extinguisher Recall
Kiddie, a major manufacturer of fire extinguishers, has recalled more than 40 million fire extinguishers used in homes, vehicles and boats. The extinguishers can become clogged, fail to discharge or have nozzle detachment during use. There are 134 models manufactured between 1973 and September 2017. The recall involves Plastic Handle, Push-Button and Push Button Watercraft extinguishers. They were sold in red, white and silver and are all either ABC or BC rated. The model number and serial number can be found on the extinguisher’s label.

If you have an extinguisher listed in the recall, contact Kiddie to request a free replacement as well as instructions for returning the recalled unit.
