Recreation

All Season Pursuits

At Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, we embrace All Season Pursuits, offering a wide variety of recreational activities for members to enjoy year-round. Whether it's a friendly game of bowling, a workout in our state-of-the-art fitness center, or a refreshing dip in the pool, there's something for everyone. The splash pad provides endless fun for families, while our trap shooting range offers a unique outdoor challenge. For those who enjoy racquet sports, our courts are always ready for a match. No matter the season, there's always an opportunity for enjoyment and relaxation at the club.

Bowling

Our Bowling Recreation Center offers all of the amenities of a public bowling alley, consisting of six regulation lanes and a full-service menu and bar, while upholding all of the comforts of a private club. In addition, members have exclusive access to the Bowling Center and our PBA Bowling Pro, Gordy Woods, to assist you and your group.

Fitness

The GPYC Fitness Center has everything you need! Our premier facility features a wide range of cardio and strength training equipment, perfect for members of all fitness levels. Open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., we make it easy to stay active on your schedule.

Pool & Splash Pad

Our Olympic-sized swimming pool overlooks the Harbor and Lake St. Clair. Home to our Sailfish swim team, the pool is also the perfect place to relax with friends and family and catch some rays. Our popular Gazebo Bar is the place to be in the summer, and it positioned right in the southeast corner of the pool.

Near our playscape at the back of the property is our splashpad for the little ones. Kids will love frolicking through a canopy of sprinklers, nozzles and umbrellas as they enjoy the summer weather. It's the best way for kids to cool off this summer and provides tons of fun for all ages.

Trap Shooting

During the winter months, our Marine Activity Center transforms into a warming house for trap shooters. Members come out on Saturdays and Sundays starting in November to shoot targets over Lake St. Clair. It's a great way to get out of the house during the winter months and bond with fellow members.

Racquet Sports

No matter your skill level, the GPYC Paddle and Racquet Sports programs offer something for everyone. Our state-of-the-art facilities include four clay tennis courts, four premier pickleball courts, and two heated platform tennis courts. Whether you're looking for thrilling competition or a more relaxed game, there's always fun to be had on our courts.
